Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of startupyar.com (the "Site"), an independently run directory of tools and apps for startup founders. StartupYar is not a registered company — it is operated as a side project by its founders ("StartupYar", "we", "us", or "our").

By browsing the Site or submitting a listing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What StartupYar Is

StartupYar is a curated directory: founders submit tools and apps, we review submissions, and approved listings are shown to visitors browsing by category or search. We do not build, sell, or operate the tools listed here — we only link to and describe them.

2. Browsing the Site

You may browse and search the directory freely, without creating an account. You agree not to misuse the Site — for example, by scraping it at disruptive volume, attempting to access data you're not authorized to see, or interfering with its normal operation.

3. Submitting a Listing ("Get Featured")

Submitting a listing is free. When you submit, you confirm that:

• the information you provide (name, website, description, contact details, logo, and any social links) is accurate and not misleading;
• you are authorized to submit it — for example, you represent the startup, or have permission from someone who does;
• the tool or startup itself is legitimate, and does not exist to defraud, deceive, or cause harm.

Submitting a listing does not guarantee it will be published. We review new submissions periodically and may approve, reject, edit for clarity, or remove any listing at our sole discretion — including after publication — without prior notice, for reasons that include (but aren't limited to) inaccurate information, an inactive or broken website, spam, or content we reasonably consider inappropriate. We do not promise any particular level of traffic, visibility, or results from being listed.

4. Content You Submit

You keep ownership of anything you submit (including your logo and description). By submitting it, you grant StartupYar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Site and in connection with promoting the Site, for as long as the listing remains published. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time — see Section 9 for how to reach us.

5. Third-Party Tools and Links

The Site links to third-party websites, tools, and apps that we do not own, operate, or control. A listing on StartupYar is not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of any kind — we do not vet listed tools for security, reliability, pricing accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. Your use of any linked tool or website is at your own risk and subject to that third party's own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of a tool discovered through this Site.

6. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, layout, branding, and original text are owned by StartupYar. Logos, names, and trademarks submitted as part of a listing remain the property of their respective owners and are displayed only to identify the listed tool. If you believe a listing infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us and we will look into it.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that listing information is always current or accurate. Startups and tools listed here may change, shut down, or stop matching their description at any time without our knowledge.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, StartupYar and its founders will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, your reliance on a listing, or your use of any third-party tool discovered through it. The Site is offered as a free directory, run as a side project, on a best-effort basis.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
